Stuntman: Ignition Preview
game: Stuntman: Ignition
preview | 07/23/07 | Chris Martin
One of the under-the-radar games this year, THQ\'s Stuntman: Ignition, has us all excited. Whether it\'s the parody of big-budget action films, the balance of risk and reward, or the allure of string-combos, this game seems to have quite a lot to offer gamers. We took the stuntman\'s job for several hours in the Xbox Live demo of Stuntman: Ignition. We ran through burning buildings, shot down helicopters, and braved a hand-brake-less-reverse-one-eighty, and have big, big smiles to show for it. More inside!

Zombies Ate My Neighbors Adaptation in TheProject.TV Short Film Contest
news | 08/05/06 | Chris Martin
Director Adam Slutsky, Co-producer Sean Jensen, and company are in the business of making us laugh, and feel a little nostalgic for 1994. Their film \"Zombies Ate My Neighbors,\" based on the Konami video game of the same name is a throwback to schlocky horror films and video game horror. The first part of three 3-minute shorts is up on TheProject.TV and we have to say we\'re impressed. The film seems to have everything, even a twenty-something guy playing \"grandma\" in a white wig? Say no more.

Video Game Theory: The Videogame to Movie Craze: A trend that has to end?
Articles Archive | 03/05/05 | Chris Martin
Using many of the same storytelling conventions as the movie industry, it's not surprising that game plots have been turning up on film pretty consistently these days; few, as of yet, are really any good. What makes it so hard to turn a good game into a good movie? Is one medium really incompatible with the other? Chris doesn't think so, and he explains his views in this excellent and informed perspective of game-to-movie adaptations. If you don't want to lose faith in the movie industry's ability to make competent movies out of what should be excellent source material, this is an article you need to read before catching films like Alone in the Dark.

EDITORIAL - There Can Be Only One
| 01/01/00 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
It\'s like that movie, Kill All Monsters, where the big guys from the Godzilla films get together and have a big old monster hoedown, except these are full grown companies. Of course, all that was at stake in Kill All Monsters was a fictional humanity, and here the reward is fiscal reality. With so many new consoles coming out, I find myself asked more and more often: Which one should I buy? Well, the answer, of course, is, \"All of them.\" That\'s unsatisfactory for most people, but it\'s about the best a simple Console Editor can do.
