Game With Fame: Play Against Famous Rejection
news | 12/11/06 | Aaron Stanton
Sometimes funny things happen when advertising campaigns collide. In the latest Game With Fame opportunity, gamers are being given the chance to play online via Xbox Live with The Burger King. That\'s right, some lucky gamers will have the chance to play against a celebrity opponent that doesn\'t say anything ever. While I can still see how the idea is amusing, there\'s an irony behind giving people a chance to sit down and chat online with someone that\'s not going to say anything back. When it all boils down to it, you\'ll be talking to an empty void for the length of the game. On the upside, you do get to also play with the New York Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma, but it\'s easy to see which of the two celebrities that Game With Fame is pushing: You register to play at bkgamer.com.

news | 11/03/05 | Shawn Rider
One of the titles we\'re most excited about this Fall is Peter Jackson\'s King Kong, the game based on the movie. The combination of Peter Jackson\'s visual storytelling and Michel Ancel, Ubisoft\'s resident super game designer, is a potentially dynamic duo that has so far demonstrated an incredible game in the making. Now, Ubisoft sends word that they will host public preview events for the game in New York City and Los Angeles, the week before the game hits stores for pretty much every platform on the planet. The preview events will be major affairs, featuring a full mock-up of Skull Island and 11 kiosks where gamers can experience King Kong, the game, in full big-screen, HD glory on Xbox 360. GF! Weekly Wrap-Up
podcast | 09/10/05 | Val Townsend
This week\'s Weekly Wrap-Up Podcast is a bit late. Why? Well, our beloved Val Townsend, the Atomic Goddess, decided to commandeer a semi-truck, fill it up with generous donations of food, water, and essential items from the fine people of Western New York, and drove it down to Jackson, Mississippi, all on behalf of her radio station, 103.3 WEDG. To top it off, after three days of marathon truck-driving, Val still managed to pull off the Podcast before Midnight tonight. All we can do is look dumb and nod our heads in agreement over how much Val totally freaking ROCKS.

Aaron's Xbox 360 MTV Special Impressions
Articles Archive | 05/12/05 | Aaron Stanton
The problem with having part of our editorial staff on the east coast and part on the west coast is that one half gets a 3 hour head start on TV specials. Shawn, based out of New York, picked up the MTV special a bit before those of us over here on the west coast did, and managed to get his thoughts up before we'd even had a chance to glimpse the brief flicker on the TV that we think must have been the MTV special “ it was too short and never focused on the 360 long enough for us to tell. Shawn jotted down his notes in the earlier post; now here are Aaron's thoughts on what Microsoft showed the world of their next generation game console.
