Click to read.Red Octane and Harmonix are gearing up for the Fall release of Guitar Hero, a rhythm-action game that we can only assume will allow you to claim your rightful role as Metal Lord of the Universe. And with a sweet custom PS2 guitar controller, the illusion of metal will become manifest in Face-Ripping Sonic Glory right in your living room.

To add to the \"realism\" of the game (who needs \"real\" in a world of Metal Maniacs rocking to the Edge of Oblivion?), Red Octane and Harmonix have partnered with Gibson Guitars to feature officially licensed instruments in the game. Custom paint jobs are available for your axe, although it\'s not quite clear if you\'ll be able to import that air-brushed Skull and Roses design Dustin painted on your bass drum...

Of course, what would all the hard-rocking glory in the world be without a roster of over 30 tracks to play along with? Well, it definitely wouldn\'t be the kind of intestine-smashing audio assault we demand in our metal odyssey. Bands featured will include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Bowie, Boston, The Donnas, Black Sabbath, The Ramones, White Zombie, Franz Ferdinand, Sum 41, Ozzy Osbourne, Audioslave and Jimi Hendrix.

Guitar gods in training, or certified Metal Masters, will want to get in on the early preorder action. The rest of the Metal Masses will be able to grab a fistfull of rock and roll radicality this Fall for PlayStation 2.
