game: Undertow
review | 12/05/07 | Chris Martin
Undertow is what Xbox Live Arcade needs more of: a simple premise with perfect execution and excellent multiplayer through Live. Play with up to 16 players through Live or split-screen locally or System Link. Or just add bots. Capture the spawn-points to reduce the enemy\'s \"tickets\" or lives to zero. An absolutely simple, stunning game with deep combat and strategy, Undertow is a testament to the greatness developers can achieve in such a small package.
game: Kane and Lynch
news | 11/30/07 | Chris Martin
If this is true, Gamespot will be allegedly losing
one of it\'s finest reviewers over a
critically mediocre game, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men.
Primotech stated yesterday that Jeff Gerstmann, 10 year veteran on Gamespot.com, has been fired.
According to a fellow Gamespot contributor and close friend of Gerstmann who wished to remain anonymous, the editor was fired Wednesday morning because of his negative review of the game, which he awarded a 6.0. Comparably speaking, Metacritic lists Kane and Lynch as currently having a 68% average from critics.
Although Primotech admits there might be other reasons for Gerstmann\'s leave, but as of now there have been no announcements by Gerstmann.

And actually, it\'s the best download for Forza 2 yet. Because of the unique design of the Twin Rings we get not one, but four different tracks. Details inside. The pack is 400 Microsoft Points.
game: Street Fighter IV
news | 10/18/07 | George Holomshek
So here\'s some news to brighten your day. Over in London Capcom just dropped a megaton with the revelation of Street Fighter IV, the first true sequel to the epic fighter series in a decade. Many gamers see their SF skills as a point of pride, and we may be set to enter a whole new era of trash talking.
game: Super Smash Bros. Brawl
news | 10/10/07 | Chris Martin
Several
poorly doctored videos have been circulating the interweb regarding the blue blur\'s inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. But today, according to
Gemaga\'s Live Blog, and then re-reported by 1UP, Nintendo has rolled a new trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Sonic the Hedgehog \"jumping, spinning, and even turning into Super Sonic.\" I think Nintendo
just sold another ten million Wii...
news | 10/05/07 | Chris Martin
There have been rumors aplenty since the explosive launch of Halo 3. The rumors pointed to the an \"insider\" who said Bungie and Microsoft will be parting ways, and that, as we just received word, is true. Bungie Studios will become an independents developer, although Microsoft will retain the rights to the Halo franchise, and Bungie will still be focusing mainly on Microsoft\'s platform. Quote Harold Ryan, Studio head for Bungie, \"We will continue to develop with our primary focus on Microsoft\'s platforms; we greatly value our mutually prosperous relationship with our publisher, Microsoft Game Studios, and we look forward to continuing that affiliation through \'Halo\' and beyond.\"
game: Halo 3 ActionClix
news | 09/19/07 | Chris Martin
If you can\'t get it, this crazy hype of Microsoft\'s, out of your head, we have the salvation for you. A \"little\" salvation. A \"tiny\" treasure. A \"diminutive\" diversion. Halo 3 just six days away, and Halo ActionClix invades your favorite hobby store. There\'s nothing small about it, this tabletop game is going to be huge.
game: Sega Rally Revo
news | 09/17/07 | Chris Martin
So,
in case you missed it, I\'m pretty stoked about SEGA Rally Revo for Xbox 360. Some early reviews are in:
IGN UK gave it 8.8/10 and
EuroGamer gave it a 9/10. Knowing this makes me ache for it more. If you\'re thinking about picking up SEGA Rally Revo, it\'s officially out today (09/17/07) in the UK--those in the US will have to wait until October 9th. And if you
just want to check it out first, the Demo has
just hit Xbox Live. At over half a gig, it\'s one of the smaller demos out there, but we\'ll let the gameplay speak for itself.
game: Sega Rally Revo
preview | 09/10/07 | Chris Martin
This year we got to play tons of games at PAX 07, and of them, SEGA Rally Revo, the next iteration of the SEGA Rally franchise, was on display. The series has seen quite a few versions on the now defunct N-Gage and Dreamcast, as well as one on PlayStation 2, PC, and wireless. Simply, the series has \"been around the track\" if you know what I mean. Now, we bring you our impressions of SEGA\'s next evolution of the franchise on Xbox 360 and PS3: SEGA Rally Revo. All this and screenshots of the just-announced Super Cars inside!
game: BioShock
news | 08/29/07 | Chris Martin
Tired of news about BioShock? We hear you. While our review is still baking in the oven, getting crispy on the edges, we came across a neat little factoid for all you fans of the old jest: \"My game is better, ha, ha!\" For it appears that BioShock not only has become critically received as one of the best games of all time, not only this year.
According to www.Gamerankings.com, Bioshock has supplanted Resident Evil 4 in the #4 highest ranked game of all time,
just below The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64), Soul Calibur (DC), and Metroid Prime (GC).
game: Halo 3 ActionClix
preview | 08/27/07 | Chris Martin
Halo 3 is just a month away and dammit if we\'re not shaking in our trousers for it. This year at the Penny-Arcade Expo we sat down with the kids over at Wizk!ds, creators of such table top games as Marvel and DC HeroClix. We got to sit down and play the Halo 3 Actionclix table top game and see what all the hubbub was about. And believe us: there was hubbub aplenty.
game: Bioshock
news | 08/13/07 | Chris Martin
This came out of nowhere. The studio formerly known as Irrational (they changed their two divisions\' names to 2K Australia and 2K Boston) get a big pat on the back for sneaking their demo onto Xbox Live on Sunday. Bioshock, which puts you through the eyes of a crash victim who gets stuck in the underwater dystopia known only as Rapture, just went gold last week. Now, we\'ll get to sample what we\'re betting is going to be a ground-braking experience.
news | 08/07/07 | Chris Martin
Just arrived on Xbox Live today are two new demos. Eternal Sonata from Namco Bandai is likely to satisfy all those eager for a JRPG on Microsoft\'s console, and Vampire Rain, which is, something else entirely. I personally am excited for Eternal Sonata, as I haven\'t played a JRPG in some time and it looks fantastic from previews. I\'m less excited for the universally panned Vampire Rain, where you\'re an elite special forces unit sent to thin out the vampire ranks. Impressions forthcoming.
game: Halo 3
news | 08/01/07 | Chris Martin
I intentionally avoided, up until now, posting news about Halo 3 - pics notwithstanding - because, frankly, I don\'t care to learn about the levels or the neat gizmos the good Master Chief will be using this time around, ahead of time. They, to me, are spoilers. I am at the point where I just want to play the game for myself and be surprised. I am breaking my rule now because the latest news about Halo 3 steps beyond that broad line of \"developer hype.\" Today Bungie officially confirmed that Halo 3 will feature 4 player Co-op play over Xbox Live and System Link. It\'s that kind of important news that just needs to be boldface.
review | 05/17/07 | Chris Martin
\"A gift to gamers\" indeed. Microsoft\'s interns and Carbonated Games of Uno fame have made a wonderful shooter that just comes up on the short-lived side of things. Still, this one shouldn\'t be missed, not for being able to play 4 player coop over live or local, not for the sweet boss battles, and not, especially not, for the brevity.
