Fatal Inertia Preview
game: Fatal Inertia
preview | 08/02/07 | Chris Martin
The Fatal Inertia Demo arrived on Xbox Live the other day and now we have an idea of what Koei has been up to. While not a direct descendent of WipEout, it takes some key ingredients - namely the hovering cars and the weapons, which can be acquired by passing over pods of colored light on the racetrack. Racetrack, however, is used lightly, as you speed through canyons, not between buildings in this high-velocity sci-fi racer.

news | 09/01/06 | Aaron Stanton
20th Century Fox has announced that they\'ll be releasing a number of Blu-ray movies just before the PS3 launch in November, including at least one dual-layer Blu-ray that clocks in at 50 gigabytes. According to their press release, Fox will be selling Behind Enemy Lines, Fantastic Four, Kingdom of Heaven (Director\'s Cut), Kiss of the Dragon, The Omen, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Speed, and The Transporter for $40 each. This means that buying each title on Blu-ray will cost you nearly three times what it does to buy the same title on DVD. Is it worth it to you?

Ping Pong Renaissance: Table Tennis Review
game: Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis
review | 06/07/06 | Shawn Rider
Rockstar\'s latest title isn\'t a murder simulator or hardcore gangsta shooter. It\'s a pleasant game of Table Tennis, and it\'s really well-done. Rockstar Presents Table Tennis comes from their San Diego studio, well known for creating the Smuggler\'s Run and Midnight Club series. If Table Tennis sounds like a major change of speed, that\'s because it is. But when the results are so much fun, we\'re fine with switching gears. Get the full review here from Shawn.

Street Supremacy Review
game: Street Supremacy
review | 03/12/06 | Matt James
With at least three other solid racing games available for the PSP, a racing title has to do something above and beyond good just to stand out on the system. Either that or something really bad. Street Supremacy is now on store shelves and begging for you to give it a go. But is that wise? Here\'s a warning: Speed walking might seem fast paced and high intensity after a few hours strolling down the streets of Supremacy. If you\'re looking for something to make the mundane elements of your life seem interesting and exciting, Street Supremacy might be for you. Read on for details.

Ubicom Launches Free Network Testing Tool
news | 02/01/06 | George Holomshek
Ubicom, who made the Stream Engine chip that is used to shape your broadband traffic in the D-Link DGL4300 Gamer Lounge router, has now released a free utility to check your online playability. The OPScore utility is a quick way to get a more robust fix on your online connection speed than most bandwidth testers, but it still runs in-browser (even if that browser is IE because of the ActiveX requirements, which is whack). George has a more complete summary of what OPScore offers, plus links to the free software.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted Review
game: Need for Speed: Most Wanted
review | 11/25/05 | Matt James
There are a few major racing games out for the Xbox 360, but Matt James is stoked to be playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted. It\'s not the simulation experience that Project Gotham offers, which, for some gamers, is a very good thing. Take your driving skillz to the pavement against outlaw racers, avoiding cops and whipping through dynamic environments that include weather and time effects. It\'s a lot of fun, and we\'ve got the write-up right here.

King of Fighters: Maximum Impact
game: King of Fighters: Maximum Impact
review | 11/09/04 | Eric Qualls
King of Fighters: Maximum Impact is SNK's latest attempt at a 3D fighter and the result is actually pretty good. Unlike the rest of the KoF series, Maximum Impact has the speed, controls, and flow to actually appeal to the mainstream and not just to hardcore SNK fans. Read our full review to find out more.
