Fatal Inertia Preview
game: Fatal Inertia
preview | 08/02/07 | Chris Martin
The Fatal Inertia Demo arrived on Xbox Live the other day and now we have an idea of what Koei has been up to. While not a direct descendent of WipEout, it takes some key ingredients - namely the hovering cars and the weapons, which can be acquired by passing over pods of colored light on the racetrack. Racetrack, however, is used lightly, as you speed through canyons, not between buildings in this high-velocity sci-fi racer.

FIFA 06: Road To The FIFA World Cup Review
game: FIFA 06: Road To The FIFA World Cup
review | 01/01/06 | Matt James
EA Sports\' FIFA franchise is often the only thing going in the US, and that\'s not necessarily a good thing. Matt James took a close look at FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup, the Xbox 360 launch incarnation of the FIFA series, and found that it\'s probably not worth the upgrade. The visuals are real purty, but the rest of the game just isn\'t up to par. It\'s too tough for newbs to pick it up, and it lacks features and roster that the current-gen versions have. Get the full story here.

Kutoka is well-known for making unique and quality children\'s games. Their Creatures series has been a popular little toy in Europe and Canada where it\'s Francophone version wooed tykes with cute little fuzzy beings. So is Creatures the Tamagotchi of the 21st Century? Shawn\'s got the review here, to help ease the decision for nervous parents.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted Review
game: Need for Speed: Most Wanted
review | 11/25/05 | Matt James
There are a few major racing games out for the Xbox 360, but Matt James is stoked to be playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted. It\'s not the simulation experience that Project Gotham offers, which, for some gamers, is a very good thing. Take your driving skillz to the pavement against outlaw racers, avoiding cops and whipping through dynamic environments that include weather and time effects. It\'s a lot of fun, and we\'ve got the write-up right here.

GF! Mailbag
feature | 11/12/05 | Matt James
Matt\'s back with another bag full of the good stuff. This time through the Mailbag we\'ve got some more comments about the revolution controller (they just don\'t stop), a bit of \"debate\" about the veracity of the Giantology.net website, and once again GamesFirst! exhibits deft diplomatic skillZ and averts yet another potential international conflict. No thanks necessary. That\'s what we\'re here for.

Sled Storm Review (PS2)
game: Sled Storm
review | 06/11/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Our man, Jake, checked out Sled Storm. Published in EA\'s Big line, this isn\'t really a sequel, but more of an upgrade to the original Sled Storm, released for PSone. The graphics are great, and there are some cool elements (racing for pink slips anyone?), but overall it needs some work. Click here for the scoop.
