Click to read.Last year, we featured E3 coverage of Alan Wake, an intriguing new title from Remedy, who are most famous for their Max Payne series. Alan Wake tells the story of a writer who is plagued with nightmares after the death of his wife. Eventually Wake seeks treatment at a facility in the Northwestern US. Soon, he discovers all is not as it seems, and the game gets a bit topsy turvy. Remedy describe Alan Wake as a mixture between a Stephen King novel and the television series Twin Peaks, which is unusual to say the least.

However, a big disappointment of last year\'s E3 was the lack of any information about who would publish the game. Remedy had created an amazing demonstration without a publisher, but it was clear that the game would happily be grabbed by any number of companies. The lucky winner of the \"Who will publish Alan Wake? Contest\" was Microsoft.

Today, Microsoft announced that they will publish Alan Wake as an exclusive Xbox 360 title. No release dates have been set yet, but the trailer shown at Microsoft\'s E3 press conference was wonderful and shows that the game is following along the same basic lines as last year\'s demonstrated version.
