Funcom will bring the world of Conan alive in the Fall of 2006, when Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures takes the action to the PC. The Kingdom of Aquilonia has been settled by the mighty Conan, but the land of Hyboria is in constant turmoil. In Hyboria you\'ll encounter rogues and beasts, malicious gods and powerful wizards-- every dark aspect of Robert E. Howard\'s Conan novels comes to life in the game.
Age of Conan will feature both a single-player and online multiplayer modes. In the single-player game users create an avatar who ascends to the ranks of Hyboria\'s greatest heroes. After completing the single-player narrative, gamers can then take their hero online to participate in massively multiplayer elements such as player-vs-player battles and attacking hostile castles.
The world of Conan should offer plenty of edgy, intense gameplay. Already a very popular series in novel, film, and comic form, Conan is a natural franchise to bring into the digital medium. So far fans have reacted positively. After making a debut at E3 2005, Age of Conan has remained on many gamers\' watch lists.
Funcom has recently launched the Age of Conan community website at
http://community.ageofconan.com so users can keep up with the last year of the game\'s development. With a lively forum and plenty of content even in the early stages of the community site, it looks like plenty of gamers are intent on getting all barbaric next Fall.
