Midway has dropped five new screens from Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. People seemed to dig the last batch of screens, so we thought we\'d get these up here for you lickety-split. We\'ve got to admit, these images sure do look pretty.

Nintendo announces the release date and price for the tiny sibling to the Game Boy Advance. Though he might be tiny, this relative packs all the punch of its larger, foldable cousin.

Maybe it\'s because we\'re so universally tied to various Universities around the world, but the idea that video games are a form of art makes us here at GamesFirst very happy. Games should be taken more seriously as an expression of emotion, a source of social interaction, and a medium as capable of expressing ideas as TV and print. But it\'s not. Authors Tracy Spaight and Robbie Cooper are looking for MMO gamers willing to tell their tale for an upcoming book and art project, Alter Ego. Alter Ego will try to contrast real players with their online counterparts, documenting player profiles to see how they compare in both appearance and personality. In other words, they want you... assuming you play online. If you\'re interested in being a part of an interesting International project, make sure you read more to find out how.

Lionhead Studios has announced The Movies Online, the online movie-sharing component of their upcoming PC title, The Movies. The Movies lets you be a movie mogul and key figure in the formation of your own private Hollywood. Wow, that would make a twisted Keanau Reeves movie. But we digress... Get the skinny on The Movies\' machinima filesharing service right here.

S2 Games is probably beaming with pride, because their new game Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is looking absolutely fantastic. It\'s only just announced, but the screenshots make it hard to believe it\'s in the same series as the original. For everything Savage, you can\'t miss this article.

Bet On Soldier: Blood Sport takes a high energy FPS starting point and amps it up with some novel approaches to multiplayer gameplay. In BOS, you live and die by your victories, and this war isn\'t waged for peace or freedom; this war is waged for ratings and money. UK gamers will be enjoying Bet On Soldier for PC in a few short weeks, and hopefully we\'ll get to check it out so we can know whether or not to riot in the streets until it comes to the US.

Probably the people most passionate about whether or not the Xbox 360 has a hard drive are system modders, who can possibly use the hard drive for everything from stealing games (bad) to running homebrew software (goodish). Now, the makers of the SmartXX mod chip for the Xbox have gotten hold of a number of Xbox 360 development kits. They\'ve opened the system and photographed the insides, which is a pretty good indication that the modding community is already at work on modding the next generation game consoles.

Dynasty Warriors 5 comes out on September 13. Featuring 48 playable characters and some new gameplay elements, this could be a good one for when killing a dozen or two enemies in an FPS isn\'t enough, and only slaughtering a virtual army of thousands can really take the edge off.

Proving that there\'s life before, during, and (hopefully) after megalomaniacal exclusive deals, Midway drops a handful of screens from Blitz: The League. The venerable franchise has a whole new life now that EA has exclusive rights to NFL licensing. Check out these highly irreverent images for further proof.

Midway is gracious today, and in advance of the September 16 release of The Suffering: Ties That Bind, they have dropped a half-dozen new screens. It\'s a frighteningly, er, terrifyingly, er, really good-looking game, if you\'re into the ultraviolent videogame horror stuff. And who isn\'t?
