Resident Evil Zero Review (GC)
game: Resident Evil Zero
review | 12/16/02 | Aaron Stanton
Those neck-chompin\', boot-scootin\', moanin\' and scrapin\' zombies are back. Actually, since Resident Evil Zero takes place before the first Resident Evil, those zombies just haven\'t been cleaned out yet. Slick graphics and a brand new two-character simultaneous play mode set Zero apart from its predecessors.

Myst III: Exile Review (PS2)
game: Myst III: Exile
review | 12/01/02 | Monica Hafer
Ubi Soft has brought the venerable Myst series to console systems, and, as anyone familiar with the franchise would guess, the style and focus of gameplay doesn\'t quite jive with what most console gamers expect. Many reviewers have reacted to Myst III: Exile like our reviewer, Eric. (Click here to read his review of Myst III: Exile for Xbox.) The pacing and mechanics of the game are unusual on the console, but this is still one of the most popular franchises in the history of gaming. So Monica, a long time Myst fan, reviewed the PS2 version of the game and gives us the other side of things, showing for the right gamers, Myst has still got it. Click here.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Review (GC)
game: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
review | 12/01/02 | Jason Frank
LucasArts puts you in the last battle of Episode II and takes you into the ensuing conflict with Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Sure, it plays a lot like Starfighter, Rogue Squadron, and every other Star Wars battle oriented game, but the scale of these engagements is enough to drop your jaw once again, as well as the framerate on your \'Cube. WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth Review (PS2)
game: WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth
review | 12/01/02 | Eric Qualls
THQ and Yukes has done a number on the Smackdown series. After the disappointment of Just Bring It last year, WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth restores the franchise to its original glory. The season mode is great, graphics are seriously improved, and the wrestling has undergone some minor changes to make it a lot better. Click!

Super Ghouls n' Ghosts Review
game: Super Ghouls n' Ghosts
review | 11/17/02 | Matt Baldwin
Our old-school sidescrolling addict, Matt, checks out Capcom\'s latest revival -- Super Ghouls n\' Ghosts recreates the Super NES experience on the Game Boy Advance. For classic, and incredibly difficult, arcade action, you might want to check this one out. After Maximo, how can you resist?

Secret Agent Barbie: The Royal Jewels Mission Review
game: Secret Agent Barbie: The Royal Jewels Mission
review | 11/17/02 | Jason Frank
Sure, it\'s a game for girls designed by men and marketed by women, but the thing is, Secret Agent Barbie: The Royal Jewels Mission is not a bad game for girls... or boys. Of course, it\'s not great either. Interesting gameplay and some minigames lengthen this very brief action game.

Articles Archive | 11/13/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
The Serious Sam Franchise has been one of the most popular and most traditional shooters on the PC. Coming out of nowhere (Croatia) and taking the gaming world by storm, both Serious Sam and Serious Sam: The Second Encounter have done very well with the GamesFirst! reviewers. Now, Gotham Games and Croteam have put together an Xbox version of Serious Sam, combining both of the PC games and all jazzed up for better graphics and intense four player action. Don't miss our interview with David Nottingham, Producer for Gotham Games.

Red Faction 2 Review
game: Red Faction 2
review | 11/08/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
THQ has scored more than an ordinary hit with Red Faction 2. Building on the original installment of the series, RF2 offers an amazing story of the kind we don\'t often see in videogames. Sure, the Geo Mod technology is still there, and still fun as hell, but this one is about telling a good tale, and we commend its success.

Terminator: Dawn of Fate Review
game: Terminator: Dawn of Fate
review | 11/01/02 | Jeremy Kauffman
Who cares what Arnie is doing these days, especially when you get to play your own action hero in Terminator: Dawn of Fate. The upside is that this title is really fun to look at -- great gameplay graphics and well-done cutscenes. The downside is that this title is really painful to play. Click here.

Mobile Forces Review
game: Mobile Forces
review | 10/20/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Majesco and Rage have teamed up to create Mobile Forces. This is a fairly basic first person shooter title with low system requirements. But Mobile Forces mixes up the action by throwing vehicles into the fray. Scooting around in a Hummer or APC is just the thing for whacking bad guys. Click here.

Prisoner of War Review (Xbox)
game: Prisoner of War
review | 10/16/02 | Aaron Stanton
Codemasters brings us a really innovative WWII-themed title. Prisoner of War puts you in the role of a downed American fighter pilot, and it ain\'t all Hogan\'s Heroes. You\'ll sneak around, infiltrate, steal and escape, but you won\'t fire a shot from a weapon. Plus, you\'ll learn derogatory terms for Germans you never knew existed. Click.

Pac-Man All-Stars Review (PC)
game: Pac-Man All-Stars
review | 09/21/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
If you\'ve played the older versions of Pac-Man, then you pretty much know what you\'re getting into with Pac-Man All-Stars. This title is little more than a facelift, and the replacement of the maze with more \'realistic\' 3D levels doesn\'t quite work out. Click here for more.
