The Future of Video Games Review
game: The Future of Video Games
review | 09/04/02 | Shawn Rider
Australian production company, Next Gen Video, brings us a DVD collection of game footage from E3 2002. If there\'s anything better than seeing screens from these titles, it\'s seeing them in full motion. The Future of Video Games will make you feel like you\'re at the show, and just like E3, it\'s not a perfect package. Click for more.

Wavebird Wireless Controller Review
game: Wavebird Wireless Controller
review | 08/30/02 | Jason Frank
Nintendo\'s Wavebird Wireless Controller is a serious blessing for Gamecube owners. Featuring the solid construction and quality performance we\'ve come to expect from the Big N, this bad boy will have you sitting 25 feet back from your TV, juggling dinner, homework, and Mario Sunshine all at the same time. Men In Black II: Alien Escape Review
game: Men In Black II: Alien Escape
review | 07/25/02 | Eric Qualls
Following the summer blockbuster, Men in Black II: Alien Escape succeeds in creating a fairly entertaining, if a bit mindless and way short, interactive MIB adventure. Control agents J and K as they make the planet a bit safer for gamers like us. Click here.

SOCOM: US Navy Seals Hands-on Preview (PS2)
game: SOCOM: US Navy Seals Hands-on
preview | 07/20/02 | Jeremy Kauffman
Sony\'s betting big money on SOCOM: US Navy Seals, and from what we\'ve seen, it\'s a safe bet. The game is being pushed as an online multiplayer title, but the single player game is really great already. Nice AI, team strategizing, serious realism, and just plain fun gameplay should get it on your list of ways to avoid homework. Click here.

Test Drive Review (Xbox)
game: Test Drive
review | 07/18/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Va, va, vroom, Test Drive is a pretty package. Lots of multiplayer modes and tons of cars to drive give it some quality bang for your buck. Take some spins around the track, admire the tight controls, and get your fender ripped off by a two foot tall fern. It\'s got issues. Get the whole story -- click here.

Interview: Richard Garriott (aka Lord British)
interview | 07/18/02 | Aaron Stanton
Aaron Stanton was lucky enough to get some quality time with one of the legendary figures of gaming. Known for his eccentric qualities, including adventure vacations and his alter ego Lord British, as much as for his foundational role in creating Ultima Online and continuing participation in MMO projects like Lineage, City of Heroes, and Tabla Rasa (working title), Richard Garriott is THE man right about now. With MMORPGs at an all-time popularity high, and many new titles entering the fray, Garriott was kind enough to chat about his projects, game design, why consoles won\'t succeed online, and much more. INTERVIEW - Richard Garriot, MMO Visonary, Part 2 of 2
Articles Archive | 07/17/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Richard Garriott. Lord British. I remember reading those names when Ultima Online was first announced, about the time when massively multiplayer games first began to come into realization. The names, both describing the same person, are synonymous with boundary-pressing game design and personal adventure. Professionally he's the founder of Origin Systems, the creator of the Ultima series, the power behind one of the first games to pioneer the concept of massively multiplayer. Having become involved with NC Soft and the incredibly popular Lineage, he's still making waves in the world of online role-playing. In person he's a charismatic fellow in blue jeans who just happens to have a lot of experience turning dreamy fantasies into working reality. I got a chance to speak with Garriot at E3 2002.

Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb Preview
game: Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
preview | 06/23/02 | Jason Frank
It seems like everyone these days wants to get out the old Indy and dust him off. So far it\'s looking great, and games might be the perfect vehicle to keep Indy alive and whippin\'. Click.

Italian Job Review
game: Italian Job
review | 06/15/02 | Monica Hafer
Rockstar brings us another in their series of $9.99 \"Got Game\" titles. The Italian Job is probably be best of these we\'ve played since Darkstone, which means it\'s worth a spin if you\'re still stuck on the PS1. Following the plot of an old British crime caper flick, it\'s got some good story and decent gameplay. Click.

America's Army Preview (PC)
game: America's Army
preview | 06/08/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
It\'s bizarre to see the US Army making such a PR push. First they produced that reality Web series about boot camp. Now they\'ve created a development house, America\'s Army and two games: Operations and Soldiers. One is an FPS built on the new Unreal engine that should give Clancy fans and their ilk a treat. The other is an RPG. Both are free for the playing. Click for more.

Sly Cooper and the Thievous Raccoonus Preview (PS2)
game: Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus
preview | 06/06/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
The cel-shading technique is bringing a whole lot of games to life in a cartoony and appealing way. Sly Cooper and the Thievous Raccoonus is no exception. It looks like a cartoon and plays like a mixture of MGS and Mario. Sound like fun? Get more right here.

BloodRayne Preview (All)
game: BloodRayne
preview | 05/30/02 | Shawn Rider
Half-human, half-vampire, all woman. That\'s the tagline for BloodRayne, but it fails to sum up how incredibly cool this game is. With a load of weapons at your disposal, buttkicking melee combat, and several different vision modes, this supernatural action title will have you killing Nazis and sucking blood. Click here.
